What’s your name and where are you from?
Damien. Born in S London, Raised in Bournemouth, Heart in Wales, Soul in London.
Three words to describe yourself?
Lucky, Funny, Sporty.
What has been your biggest success in your life so far?
Being in the right place at the right time to meet the right person on three separate occasions.
What’s your biggest failure?
I’ve had a couple of massive investment failures. But my biggest regret is not being more adventurous career wise in my early 20’s, when anything was possible.
If you weren’t doing your job you do today, what would you do?
In another life, I would love to have been a Sports / Language Teacher.
Who would be your mystery dinner guest (dead or alive) & why?
Bob De La Motte (Author of Runaway Comrade) an Ultra runner with strong views on politics, sports and justice. Never a dull moment.
If you were to win big on the lottery what would be the FIRST thing you’d do?
Tell them it was a mistake, because I’ve never bought a lottery ticket! If they insisted, I’d see if I could double Stormzy’s scholarship scheme.
What’s your favourite book/blog/website to read?
The Ringer — US Sport and Politics.
What’s the silliest thing you have ever done?
Running through Fields of Wheat — I’ve never been a silly person.
What was the biggest EUREKA moment in your life so far?
When someone came to my Comprehensive school and talked about life at Oxbridge.
If you were to die tomorrow, what advice would you leave to the world?
Life is long (I see the irony here), don’t be in too much of a hurry.
